hey guys.
just need some help deciding over the EVGA 8800GT AND THE XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog Edition.
they are both great cards and their specs are prittyy much the same.
just tht the xfx is on sale and at a great price that i keep thinking thier is somthing rong with the card.
If you're willing to spend that much on the EVGA, then pick up an 8800GTS 512 off of newegg. The 8800GTs are also around the same price as the xfx one on newegg, but there is an 8800GTS as low as 169.99, although I don't know much about ECS, so I personally bought the MSI one for 194.99.
The XFX card is a great deal, they are a quality manufacturer. I've always had good luck with EVGA cards, but for that price difference i'd go with the XFX. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicat [...] =P450-8812
thnks guys..
umm i just wanted to know if the evga was about the same performance as the xfx one.
cuz the evga was on sale for 150 after rebate. just went up 2 days ago.
and the xfx was styll on rebate so thought tht the low costt xfx 8800gt had low performance or somthing lol
cant afford the gts im on budget lol
aii guys thks so much
what i like about the XFX is basically the PCB, lol. black is da colour of my system....green is the part that i will be seeing in my computer and it will stand out like a bitch... also, the XFX is $30 cheaper, and seeign as how im gonna get two of em...thats $60 savings
what i like about the evga is its kick ass cooling system so i can overclock it heaps and the fact that evga is the same brand as my board and that just appeals to me...lol
thanks in advance.

+1 for XFX cards, I have had two of them in SLI for the last six months and they have not had a single issue other than the standard fans are loud, but as I had a pair of Zalman VF900's to hand this wasn't really a problem as such.
