Help With my dell 910

i have lost operating system from my dell 910 how do i boot from a usb pen that has windows xp on it

how can i get operating system on to my dell as lost it after a infection and dnt have a cdrom drive i have operating system on usb pen but it wnt boot from that

Start it up and hit Delete or Function 2 to go into Setup or BIOS. Look for a setting that says USB Legacy Support is available and if it is, check that it's enabled. Then go to Boot options and set the USB device as top of the list from which to boot from first. Save and exit BIOS and that should to the trick. If Legacy Support isn't available in your BIOS, you can't achieve this.

Answered on the XP General Discussion Board. If that doesn't work for a USB drive, it might still for an external CD ROM and they're quite inexpensive to buy. If you don't have a disk, ask Dell - they'll post you one out.
