Ok so need a bit of help in choosing a SSD

There is the

OCZ Vertex using the Indilinx controller - seems fast with a wiper program and good firmwear
Corsair P128 - seems even faster but no trim tool

Anyone know anything about the

Corsair Extreme Series X128

Any more to consider? Any thoughts or tips appreciated :)

Have you also considered Intel's new X-25M 128GB? 60% cheaper than the older version!

+1 to what r_manic said.

I'd consider TRIM support essential, particularly if you expect to be using Windows 7 at some point.

Intel X25-M (34nm) SSDSA2MH080G2 80GB $225
Intel X25-M (34nm) SSDSA2MH160G2 160GB $440

Since Intel just came out with these last week, they should start showing up in about a month. Also OCZ will be lowering their prices in the coming weeks.
