I7 heat, about right?

Currently I have my i7 920 overclocked at 3.2ghz (not really great I know) with only the QPI voltage non-stock(set to 1.31 so my 1600mhz ram could run it's rated spec stable) and hooked up to a Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 in push/pull config in a HAF 932 case.

Cores idle between 39-43C and load at 66-68C (peaked at 70 once, but it quickly dropped back to 68). Given that my ambient is and will likely always be 26.6C repeating (80F), would this be about right?

That's very low Vcore already. Only other option I can think of is lower your ambient temps, but that's easier said than done. You got a good overclock going there.

Mine is testing now, but ambient temp is about 60F only. Under Prime95 SmallFTT, temps goes up to about mid 60C - high 60C. If I put it in 70F room temps, it'll most likely go over 70C.

Cooler is TRUE, with Ultra Kaze 3K.

get a new heatsink and case fans if your serious about the heat problems. if your heatsink is big enough for propper heat diffusion, AND there is good air flow to replenish the ambient air, then cpu shouldn't get above 45C with that V-core.

*blinks* 45 C...on an i7...at load...with an ambient of 26.66~C... That sounds a bit low for a core temp, a CPU heatspreader temp (i.e. the metal thing surrounding the cores) maybe. In which case, I likely meet that now.

The Noctua seems to be about on par to a TRUE from the reviews I read and the HAF has a helluvalotta airflow, so if what you say is true.. it points to me needing to remount and re-thermal interface... which would not be fun at all :(
