I am currently looking to upgrade on my sound card right now and i play a lot of games. I have been researching and I was originally going to get the creative xtremegamer x-fi fatal1ty pro, but then i saw the razer 7.1 and they pretty much look the same except for the razer's db hits a little harder... anyone input on which one you would go with?

The only issue is the EAX support. EAX 3 and above is proprietary to Creative, so most non-Creative soundcards currently support only EAX 2. You also might want to take a look at the Asus soundcards, those are getting high praise.

The Auzentech Prelude 7.1 is the only card or...company/line allowed to use the X-Fi chipset because they are the only ones lisencing it from Creative. From what I hear it is pretty much a better than any Creative card.
