m plannin to buy this RAM.... its an OCZ platinum 2 X 1 gb DDR2 800...why is it so damn cheap ?? or am i not looking at something ??

 

and will it be stable on my EP35-DS3L mobo ?? m not planning to overclock

Well, if you're buying ram, might as well get 4-8 gigs since you say it's damn cheap. The ddr2 prices will raise in Q3/4 when DDR3 becomes mainstream.

OCZ builds good ram. At the low prices, I bought 8 gig for my machine and it works fine. It takes to the overclocks very well too. I only wish ram had been so cheap in the past.

DDR2 is very cheap now and 2GB is barely enough for a good Vista experience...2008. I think the thought is that one won't just be purchasing 2GB but 4 or 8GB.

i have this ram right now and it ok, i plan on buying another 2 gigs of it soon. the only problem with it is you will have to go in your bios and change the timing and voltage to match the manufacturer specs. the problem with that is all motherboard won't allow you to do this as there locked. im having an issue just finding out what the correct voltage and timing is for these.
