Im on a $900 gaming budget and i need comments and oppinons on my first build PLEASE comment.
 
SPECS:
CASE:COOLER MASTER Elite 330  
MOBO:GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L
CPU: INTEL CORE 2 QUAD q6600 2.4ghz
VIDEO CARD: EVGA 512-P3-N841-AR GeForce 8800GTS (KO) (G92) 512MB
PSU: Thermaltake Purepower W0100RU 500W ATX 12V 2.0 [#ff1c00]OR should i get a raid max 530w modular???
MEMORY: Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800  
HDD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
DVD/CD: SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA  
OS: OEM  Microsoft Windows Vista 32bit home premium
CPU COOLER: ZALMAN 9500A 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler  
 
if i get the core 2 quad q6600 but the 45nm wht ever cpu can it work on that mobo?/??
Is there a psu better thats the same price or lower? how about that raidmax?
and how about that ram??

I would wait for the ATI 4xxx coming out this month, they are supposed to be great. Besides the powersupply you picked only has 15 amps on the 12v rail, the 8800gts needs 26 amps (I don't know if it has power sharing across the 12v rails, but it is still cutting it close).  
 
The DS3L will support the new 45nm CPUs, but will not support Nehalem coming out later this year. Are you going to over clock at all? Because the DS3L is one mean over clocking board and you do have an excellent cooler picked out.

i jsut forgot that the p35-ds3l has been discontinued.

That samsung drive has an essential modded firmware update, you can find it and info at club.cdfreaks.com
 
@dermeister: the 12v rating on GPUs is actually just a recommended rating for the entire system, not just the GPU.
