Why my pc will hang when i installed my RAM in dual channel slot??

My pc using Corsair Twin 2X 2048-6400 DDR2 800,when i try to put this pair of RAM to dual channel slot,my pc will hang @ windows login there,and how come CPU-z oni recognised my ram as 533 mhz??

Specs?

By default, the ram will run at half the cpu fsb. i.e. Q6600 is 1066mhz FSB / 2 = 533. If you want to run at or near the rated speed, you must make changes to bios. The cpu/ram ratio and maybe vdimm as well.
