so this will be my first home built system. I have a buddy that his built his own before that will be helping me do it. Just wanna hear your guys feedback on what ive got picked out.

Swap your memory to 2 x 2GB of DDR2 800
Swap your harddrive for a 7200.11 instead of the 7200.10
Stick with air cooling
And go with a PC Power and Cooling power supply.
 
Then you'll have a slick setup.  It will be a little better if you go with a 780i mobo.

Agreed with above. The Xigmatek HDT-S1283 is a solid air cooler. If you overclock, the 780i will be a better choice. Otherwise, the 750i will do x16 SLI as well.
