Not able to install Far Cry 1 on my PC

Hello, I'm trying to install Far Cry and it says it's about to start installing and then it gives me a prompt saying "Run setup32.exe on 32 bit Windows or run setup64.exe on 64 bit Windows with no option. I did a search of my computer and discovered I don't have Windows. So I purchased Windows 8 and after all of that it is still saying the same thing when I tried to install the game. I'm totally stumped. And now I have Windows 8 which is annoying. Please help! -Thanks for your time.
