Helloo everyone, just got a quick question to be answered so i dont do anything stupid!

I've just got a 256gb SSD (internal) to upgrade my old 80gb laptop drive so I can fill it to the brim with movies, music and gaes like the old one now, I have two 2.5" internal sata hard drives, and one 2.5" caddy and a 3.5" caddy, can I plug either of my hard-drives into the 3.5" caddy, or will the power supply to them be too much? I know its 5v to the 2.5" one but will the 3.5" caddy push out 12v and fry my drive?

Most appreciated for all your comments,

xxMac

Will the connectors fit? Your hdd is 2.5" and the enclosure is 3.5".

The connectors are exactly the same, but some SSDs have them positioned differently. But if you can make them physically fit without forcing them, it should work.

Hehe, thanks for your replies, haven't been able to say thanks though coz my f***ing hard drive lost all my data! not impressed, but on the plus side it did fit with a bit of support underneath xD
