My wife did not like the look of the qpack2 cube case, so getting something a bit more subtle.

I have 2 120mm fans in my cart, but any idea if this side vent is a 80....120mm ?

And what CPU cooler might I squeeze in here?  I have a  ZALMAN CNPS7700-CU 120mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan - Retail in my cart at newegg, but I might have a bit more room in this over a cube case....

It,s just that a"side vent" not meant to mount a fan, although if you really wanted to you could rig something up, being that it is a small case the two 120mm fans should be good enough, and depending on if your going OEM or aftermarket CPU heat sink and fan, you might have to remove the plastic shroud.

I plan on aftermarket heatsink.....and it looks like I should have room for a standard height?  I'll just remove the shroud and stick a fan in that hole perhaps......

I am pretty sure its an 80mm.  I think I built a machine with this case for someone not long ago.

Remove the warning labels; evolution should take care of the rest.

Thanks...for 5$ I will just add one to my cart....I'm sure i can find a use for it if it does not fit, or line up right.

I'm hoping a  ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler will fit in here also.....

I really wouldn't recommend that case, it appears that the mobo rear i/o shield is not replaceable, so unless the i/o on your mobo matches the case, you are out of luck.
There is a reason its so cheap.

Good eye!  I did not even catch that....I took a screen shot of both, and flipped the MB on it's side....does not look like it will fit  :fou:

However, it does look like that piece may be able to be removed, from the little tab I think I see:

Motherboard comes with a little aluminum cover, which I assume goes where that metal pops out of:

It,s twice the cost, but I nice case, built my dad a cheap little system using this case, and it is similar the one you picked out, found it very easy to work with, even at the small size, uses one 90mm rear fan, and I added one to the front of the case, using stock Intel cooler, temps stay around 38-48 Celsius.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I think that case costs a bit more as it comes with a 350W power supply, which I really don't need.  I have a Corsair 550W unit going in here.......

Yep, the i/o cover goes in there, if the one on the case is a breakaway type, then you can put in the proper i/o shield, however, you will in probability have to do some filing etc to get it to fit properly. Exercise caution, there will probably be a lot of sharp edges in this case. Its worth paying a few dollars more for a quality case, this one appears to be of very poor quality.

this is my ideal case P180 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811129041
but blows my budget quite a bit.  I'm trying to stay right around grand for everything.

For what it is the case should do it's job for me.  I can fit a 120mm intake fan in the front, a 120mm in the back, and put a 80mm in the side if I want.  The other cases in the sub 50$ range either had limited fan accommodation's for the front, or included a PS that I have no use for.

If I get it and it looks bad for some reason, or appears it will not work for me....I have a bunch of older cases laying around here that I can use.....I'm just tired of Beige cases....that's all

If can, can. If no can, no can.

Yea,  and you can take that cone from the side and put it on the rear/exaust fan and attach a vacuum cleaner bag to it.  After sucking all the dirt and fuzz off the floor it blows through the case and collects in the bag instead of recycling it through your room.  Kinda dual purpose PC/Vacuum cleaner.  Just remember to empty the bag once a week.

Just make one joke. ehh!

The side vent does look like an 80mm, the screw holes for the shroud should line up with an 80mm fan screw holes. Chances are you will have to remove the shroud so your CPU cooler fits but its better to put a fan in the shrouds place anyway, I have that type of set-up but with a 120mm fan on the side.

From Newegg:

Cons: The motherboard face plate can't be changed. You can only mount boards in that match the holes in the case.
Other Thoughts: Make 100% sure the board you need to put in it needs ONLY the screw holes this case provides.

I think you will be able to change the plate looking at your picture but it will probably be more dificult than it needs to be.

This is why I always go to a shop to look at a case before I buy, it's the only way to be certain of the details.

I'm pretty sure I can get that faceplate off.  It either will break away at that connection point, or I will take it out to the garage, fire up the compressor, and take my cut off wheel to it.    :D

I did end up ordering this case, 2 120mm fans, and a 80mm fan just for grins to see if I could put it somewhere.  I should get it Monday, and the rst of my parts Tuesday, as shipped out of a seperate warehouse.

I was actually thinking of painting the inside black before I install anything, as I might Plexi a window in the future......
