I'd say spend it on the RAM.  Take it to 8GB, get Vista 64 and you can stop wondering what it'd be like.  Just kidding.  I would put it in RAM IF I already had a good sound card!  Your $100 is best spent, IMO here:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6829132006

2gb of ram isn't enough, get 2 more. Page file usage off hdd will lag down your whole system and make it perform like a $600 machine.

Soundcard is not nearly as important. Get it only after you had enough ram.

MORE RAM! I would buy a 4gb kit of DDR2 800 if I were you. And of course, get vista 64.

definatly RAM (you just can never have enough).

first id like to say i got the 9800gtx for 230 so it was worth it
