Just as the title states. The GTX260 is 10.5" in. I was wondering if that is TOO big for this mid-case? Thank you again for the help.

i'd like to put a gtx 280 in an htpc (not micro atx) as well and haven't gotten an answer from zalman just yet.

am i correct (as can be since it's not actually out except in europe for $912) that if a 9800x2 fit in a case, a gtx 280 should as well?

thanks.

The 8800GTX fits in the Antec 900, and it's 10.5" too.

If they make a card that is unable to fit inside of an Antec 900 then there will be alot of people not buying them. lol

Anyone have a pic of said configuration? My 8800GTS is nearly 2 inches shorter than the 260GTX I would like to buy, but I think I'm gonna have cabling problems with the card blocking my 2 optical drives and 3 hard drives...?

The problem is no one is describing *how* it fits. You have to remove something at the front of the case in order for it to fit is my understanding. Either some drive cage and/or the fan 'holder' (bracket?) which does compromise what you can do with your case. I liked the idea of a mid-tower for reducing price but imho, there is too many restrictions when going towards a mid-tower if you are considering one of the 10.5" video cards out there.

If I said something inaccurate, please correct me but as far as I know, most mid-towers even the popular Antec 900 series, you have to remove a drive cage or fan at the front to get sufficient clearance (otherwise known as enough space) for the longer video cards (e.g. 10.5" Geforce GTX 260).

i just measured my antec 300, and it has about 10.5 inches of space for a video card. I wouldnt be able to put an hdd in one or two slots, but the drive bay could probably stay where it is. the antec 900 is 1.4 inches longer than the antec 300 though, so you should have plenty of space to wire stuff. you might have to give up an hdd spot or 2 though. but it has 6 total 3.5 inch bays for hard drives and a bunch of 5 in bays to add hdd bay converters if you were to need the storage.

A GTX260 fits in my Antec 900. I left the middle drive bay empty (3 drives in lower bay and optical on top) for the video card.

I do not plan on ever doing SLI or CrossFire. If I did, I'd use a different case.

Is there any fans cooling the hard drives if you have a GTX 260 Nvdia card in an Antec 900?

Yes. I put my drives in the lower drive bay. I have three drives: a WD 640 Black for booting and two WD 1 TB EADS Greens for storage. I have never seen drive temps above 30 C., usually runs 26 - 28 C. All case fans are set to LOW.
