I went and checked on an upgrade for a relataves dell, running the last of single core...
hacked for no reason, but by just existing, with software out the wazoo attempting to stop it, is to blame for a permanent overhaul into core duo...some may know what I mean, millions don't.
anyhoo...
I am sure out of the 40million pc owners out there, there is a common route to keep everything but the mobo, the ram, hdd, and slap it right into the dell case that has held up nicely. it has reverse cooling by dell, and that is the real reason for this post. without knowing the model number (5100 seems to ring a bell), does anyone know what I can put in the case for a lower end (800fsb, and ram) core2 duo with all dell stuff otherwise usable. If there is no oem duct hookup, I most certainly can make it my own version, like my own pc...
thanks.
either way , answer or no, I will post the results, and the several hindred dollar savings.
I do want an all intel board,by intel (no foriegn branding, no overclockability) matx, onboard graphic.....
to aid in this decision, the machine is seriously used in an office for a 60 year old man...just give him the modern stuff, without the lunacy...
