I have the ASRock 775 DUAL-VSTA and Vista (and a 6800LE). When I install nVidia Forceware drivers greater than the old 9x.xx versions, my screen becomes corrupt when I play FSX and on the User Account Control screen (small black lines appear obscuring text).

This is maddening and stupid. The game runs fine with no black lines but I want to use the latest drivers and not have my screen grizzled.

Here is what Asrock have to say about it.

Q. "I'm using NVIDIA card under Windows Vista. When I rate the computer's performance the screen suddenly becomes abnormal. Why? 11/05/2007

A. The problem happens with newer Nvidia VGA driver version 1xx.xx (i.e. 163.69) Please change your Nvidia driver to older version 9x.xx (i.e. 97.19) to solve this problem. "

Why does this happen and can it be fixed?
