Okay, so today my external hard drive (Iomega 500gb), stopped being detected by both my apple laptop and Vista PC. So I took out the hd from the case and connected it to my ide cable on my PC. Bios detects my hd and so does the device manager in vista, the only problem is that I cannot access my hard drive in the windows explorer window. Is my hard drive completely done? Or am I just not connecting something properly. I have tried to change the jumpers on slave and CS but to no avail. I have one other drive in my PC which is an SATA drive. Please help, as I have a lot of important data on that hd.

PC specs:

Intel Q6600 (overclocked to 3.0ghz)
MoBo - ASUS P5Q SE Plus
ASUS ATI Radeon 4850 HD
Corsair 4GB memory (2x2Gb)
SATA Seagate Barracuda 500gb

The drive may be bad. Right click on My Computer and select manage. Go to disk management and see if the drive has a partition and drive letter.
