Dell Studio 1535 looping with blue screen

This is my neice's laptop, I am trying to help. Laptop started configuring updates from windows and got to 3 of 3. Do not know what updates. Computer suddenly blue screened. Now loops from Dell startup screen to configuring updates to blue screen. Stop codes 0x0000008E, (0xc0000005, 0x81E4B1A7, 0x8892991C, 0x00000000). Have run all diagnostics under F12, all pass test. I have the reinstallation DVD but will not read disc. Yet CD/DVD passed test and can hear it working. Also put boot file on USB but will not read from that. Will not load in safe mode, will not run debugger. I have no other ideas. Please help

Hi. Have you set the boot order in the bios to boot from cd first?. Then run a repair boot from the DVD

I have already did this many times. Does not recognize cd. Even made a new cd....didn't work either. I have since removed the "CMOS" battery, left out for 2-3 hours to clear it. Put back in and let charge for 2 hours. Now it will not start up, runs a series of start up lights and cuts off...like the power supply is shot.

Laptop came on long enough to put CD in drive. Can hear it trying to read for about 1 min. then cuts back off. Screen remains black. It is plugged to a power source. Any suggestions?

Got computer back on by leaving unplugged for 24hour with battery out. Plugged back in hit Fn + F10 and power button. Booted up to Dell screen. Attempted to load windows and came to "Other User" screen. Does anyone know what this is or how to get around it?
