Hey guys,

Im new to this forum, been looking at it for a while, and gotta say, great atmosphere :)

Now down to the nitty gritty:

So far i have spent the last 7 hours and 12 minutes, searching far and wide about a poblem that is really getting to me.
This is what i am having problems with:

:: Asus P5N-E Sli
:: BFG 8800GT OC2

This is my problem: Like most of you know the card runs into compatability issues when trying to run with this motherboard. I have done LOTS of research on this but i cant get a solution.
As always i recieve the infamous 1 long 3 short beeps from a cold boot. PSU is fine, RAM is fine, so please dont suggest those. I know it is the issue with the chip.

You may ask: if you know that that is the problem, why are you asking here ?

The reason is, on alot of forums i see users with the BFG 8800GT OC2 card in their signatures with the P5N-E motherboard.

So to my question:

Does anyone on this planet know how to successfully get the BFG 8800GT OC2 card to work with the P5N-E motherboard, this would be much help.

Regards,

Alex O'Neill

Firmly insert card in PCIE slot. Plug in the 6pin 12v power connector lead from the PSU to the video card. Load driver. If MB beeps related to video card, try a different known-to-work-properly video card and confirm your video card is bad (or MB which ever applies). Make the appropriate RMA.

It looks like u might need to flash the card's BIOS.

Yea i think so, after accidently finding a topic on bios flashing, this is what i will have to resort to.

The question is, where on earth can i find a computer that is

a. Compatible with the 8800gt
b. Let me flash it through bios...

Anyone got any good suggestions, Im going down to PC WORLD :P to see if the tech support will let me use one of their systems. Probably not, but its worth a try! :)
