Recurring annoying message

Hello,
At every startup a Windows message appears saying "Restarting your computer
is required". The message further says "The computer must be restarted
before updating can continue. Would you like to restart now?" I have windows XP sp3 and automatic updates installed

Sounds like there are some windows updates trying to install and may be failing. Check the update page to see if there are updates available.
