Computer Specs
Asus P5Q-Pro
Q6600 Stepping B Revision G0: VID:1.325
2x 2GB OCZ2G8002G
2x 2GB Crucial Ballistix RAM
SunBeam Core Contact Cooler

I have been able to reach 3.26 GHz Stable with prime running over night, but I can't seem to go higher without Mobo failing to boot up

Here is what I am trying for 3.6 GHz
CPU Ratio - 9.0
FSB Frequency - 400
FSB Strap - 400
DDR2-800MHz
DDR2 Timings - 6,6,6,18 set
DRAM Static Read Control -Disabled
DRAM Read Training -Disabled
MEM OC Charger - Disabled
CPU Volt - 1.45
CPU PLL - 1.56
FSB Termination Voltage 1.26
DRAM Voltage - 2.10
NB Voltage - 1.46
SB Voltage - 1.40
Load line Configuration - Disabled
CPU Spread Spectrum - Disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum - Disabled
C1E - disabled
Max CPU ID Value Limit - Disabled

I am trying to get my processor to 3.6 GHz, then tighten my RAM timings and settings, but I can't seem to even load up the Motherboard with these settings, and I have to reset my bios to load back in

okay figured it out kinda of

1.RAM was screwing with me, with Dual Channel, I can't achieve more than 3.3 GHz without BSODing with a IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_TO_ZERO error. If I remove one of the 4GB kit(Either of them), the BSOD errors are gone and I can overclock without trouble

2.I can reach 3.6 GHz if I bump up the voltage to 1.53 which seems kind of dangerous....any opinions?

So for the RAM. I ran memtest86 on the OCZ brand first over night, got that without error, then I ran the Crucial with the OCZ overnight without any error...

Think its a dead module? or just compatibility issues?

The following are my setting OC @ 3.6GHz

Mobo: Asus P5Q-Pro
CPU: Q6600 Stepping B Revision G0: VID:1.225v
RAM: 2x 2GB OCZ2RPR800C44GK
CPU Fan: Zalman 9700LED
CPU Ratio: 9.0
FSB Frequency: 400MHz
FSB Strap to North Bridge: 400MHz
DDR2: 800MHz
DDR2 Timings: 4-4-4-15
VCore in bios: 1.35v
DRAM Voltage: 1.8v
NB Voltage: Auto
SB Voltage: Auto

8hrs+ Prime95 no fail
12hrs+ Memtest no fail

Timmy, you answered your own problem with #1

If you insist on running two different brands (I'm guessing both DDR2-800) of Ram, the only thing that may help would be the Ram Skew settings. Even that with 8 gigs might not work with a higher OC.
