I think I may of missed replies to my original post.
When I sync my G4 to my Zire 31 all the addresses do not down load to
the Zire. All the names, phone nos., fax and e-mail items do transfer
but with some names the actual address does not.
Any idea why some yes and some no?

do you see any pattern on the addresses which transfer (or not)?
i.e. - first address
- 2nd address
- work address
- home address
- more than 1 address

You posed an interesting question, so I compared over half, (about 80
items) between the Addresss Book and my entries in the Zire.
What shows it'
If the address in Address Book is "home" it has changed to "work" in
Zire,
If the address in Address Book is "work" is has not moved at all to the
Zire.

I believe there is a shortcoming with the iSync conduit. But I can't
quite figure out the pattern either. I thought maybe the iSync conduit
only transfers 1 address or maybe it only transfers the first address,
or maybe it only transfers the 'work' address. Or maybe there's some
directionality issue -- ie address updates work in one direction but not
in the other.
At a higher level, I believe the problem falls into the general issue of
how the conduit developers choose to handle the issue of syncing PIM
data between PIMs that don't support identical fields -- i.e. one PIM
might have say a 'home URL' field but the PIM the conduit is syncing
with might not support such a field.
As a workaround/safety thing, I've been putting anything vitally
important to xfer into the 'notes' section of each entry, and that seems
to transfer and be updated reliably - the ultimate 'freeform' field.

Well for the time being I shall change the untransferred items in AB to
'Home' and they at least I'll have them as 'work' in Zire.
