No cd dvd drive

when I go to computer, it does now show a cd-dvd drive. It does show a usb device but unable to access the cd-dvd drive to install anything

Many trouble shooting hints in above guide. Check out the one for removing upper / lower filters for the device, if you know how to use Regedit.
