Hi guys, I would like a recommended PSU for the new nvidia 280 card in dual sli and in tri sli.

basically get the biggest, most efficient, and generally best PSU you can afford, cos i suspect tri 280's will produce one SHED load of heat

It's a little hard to know how accurate a guess will be - but you did ask. We should know a lot more by this time next week.
8800Ultra = recommended 500W and 34A (from Evga website) so GTX 280 will suggest ~550W and 40A for a single card (total system power).
Visit http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html and look up the recommended PSUs for dual and tri 8800Ultra and make a SWAG from there.

I was looking at a PSU for 8800 GT sli and saw a little * about the GTX 260. The corsair 650TX psu is rated for SLI, but not approved for the GTX260 SLI, so I would get the 750TX for GTX280 SLI, and maybe something like a Real Power Pro 850w from Cooler Master if you were going to tri-SLI because from what I've seen 280's are power suckers.
