hey guys so im setting up a network at my work for kids to use for homework and such. i wanted to block a bunch of stuff on the network such as websites (like facebook and porn stuff) and some applications (mainly msn). i wanted to know is there an application i can run on a computer that would set a filter for all of the other computers, i want to do this without installing anything on the other computers. does anyone have any suggestions? ive already set up a block on some websites using the router itself. the router im using is Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router.

you could try opendns, they use a user configurable dns accessed via a web interface, you can modify the dns servers on the router (if your using dhcp on the machines) or setup each machine individually if not.

you can set up easy blocks for porn and such like plus i think you can add specific sites, they have different levels of access you can set. plus an override for your machine.
