Does the  ASUS Xonar DX 7.1 Channels PCI Express Interface Sound Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132006) work with ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813127030)?
 
sorry to bother everyone with this question, can you please tell me how i could have found this out myself?

Yes, the IP35 Pro has a spare PCI-Express slot for the sound card.

From the photos of the motherboard on the NewEgg site, photo #3 show's the slots and you can see the top one is PCIe 1x by the heading and line going up to the slot.  
 
Then also on the NewEgg site if you look at the photos of the sound card the third photo there shows the PCIe 1X interface.  
 
You could also click on the little yellow tab on both that links (down on the left towards the bottom of the page for each) you to the Manufacturers Info and then go to the Manufacturers Product Page and it would have listed the requirments for the card and you could have compaired it with the specifications on the product page for the motherboard. They have these on all the products they sell.  
 
Hope this helps you with further product research.
