will MB with Sata capability run older IDE drives?

just making sure. i can still use my older IDE drives with the ECS p4m890t-m2 that I'm switching to

  1. Of course you can. Just don't try to plug and IDE cable in a SATA socket...

    I read a few weeks ago @newegg a review of a 790 mobo where the guy complained about the weird noises the heard from his system after having a hard time placing his amd processor....
