Hi all,
My 5+ yr old 2.4 P4 isn't cutting it anymore so time to build a new one. Used to build them left and right but the past few years I've been less technical and more on the project mgnt. side of things. Been searching throughout the forum and most of this config is based off what I found here with a couple of changes. I was just hoping someone could take a quick look and see if there's anything that's just wrong. I know people have brand preferences but I'm just looking to see if I have missed anything or if there is anything much better than I have chosen. I'm pretty much at my limit at price so I can't really upgrade anything price wise but any opinions would be much appreciated.
Total $1,592.87 not counting tax, shipping or MIRs should be around $1450 after everything
I guess I'll try Vista64 and I want a really good general computer that can do at least a good enough job for just about anything from Office to some of the newer games.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply Maroc!
A bit old fashion I guess, would rather have 2 500s than 1 TB just because I've lost enough stuff over the years from hardware failure. Use to only use the Barracuda's but the Caviars seem to have a little better reviews on newegg but twice the buffer would be nice so I may make that change.
your going to need a motherboard to plug all that stuff into
Oops, already picked one out but forgot to list it. It was actually the toughest choice for me so please let me know if it's a good one for my set up.
Thanks.
I updated my original post to include one of those motherboard thingies and went with Maroc's advice and changed the HDs.
Right now the first post is exactly like my shopping cart at Newegg so I'm going to hold off until tomorrow afternoon to place my order so please let me know if anyone else thinks there are better options especially around the MB and monitor and again I have to be right around the $1500 range.
If I were you, I'd change the Motherboard to a GA-P35-DS3R. It's cheaper and supports everything you need.
I thought I read somewhere that that mobo wasn't great for overclocking. Like I said earlier the mobo was (and still is) the toughest choice for me. The one I chose is fine for me price wise but if there's a cheaper one that's just as good even better.
The only non standard requirement I have is that I want to be able to overclock the Q6600 to a stable 3.0GHz
