This is my final build after about 2 weeks of looking around on forums and reading reviews of various products. Take a look and any input would be appreciated.

Case: Cooler Master RC-690
MoBo: ASUS P5N-D NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI
GFX: EVGA 9800GTX(G92) 512MB
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0 GHZ
Memory: OCZ Reapur 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 320 GB 7200 RPM 3.0Gb/s SATA
Power: OCZ GameXtreme 600W ATX12V
Cooling: Xigmatek HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle

From my estimation not a bad build for about $1080 from Newegg.com

First, when and if do you plan on going SLI?

If you think you'll be wating 1+ years before doing so, don't. It's guaranteed to be cheaper to upgrade the card to one that'll outperform SLI.

And in that case i'd recommend ASUS P5K-E Wifi. And G92 8800GTS 512mb is the same as 9800GTX but cheaper. Also make sure you have a quality PSU, preferably one that has a Single very powerful 12v rail.

Tweaks the cause it to surpass the 8800gts barely in about half the benchmarks. Which means it's way overpriced. Unless you can find the 9800gtx for the same price, or cheaper, as the 8800gts 512mb then i'd never buy it.
