i'm assuming that you have the HDD, RAM, vidio card thing figured out. anyway, those things are compatable. although the HS looks very big

I have the same board with a core2 duo E7400 which i will be OCing soon, anybody have some suggestions on what cooler i should get? I have about a $50ish budget.

I'd prefer something with a Red LED fan, but it doesn't have to have one

If you want something Red, cheap, and do a decent job try this:
The LED on the Fan is White, but It has the Red blades

I have the UD3R mobo, Q9400 CPU, S1283 + retention bracket, and Antec 300.
I took a rough measurement before assembling and thought that I would have at least 1/8" clear between the heat pipes and the side of the case.

Pigbearman you can change the fan over to a red led fan so you don't compromise performance for looks, the xigmatek is a top cooler i am very happy with it and would recommend to anyone , you can look for a red led 120mm fan to replace the stock fan and it MIGHT make it perform better..if the fan is better obviously.. thats what i would do if i wanted a cooler with led's, tho i would go blue (makes it look colder, not hotter like red does, jk lol)
