Hey I know nothing about motherboards and was hoping some of you more educated guys could help me out. I'm getting a couple new pieces of hardware but I don't know what motherboard to get to fit nicely with them. Here's what I have:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT 512MB
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Enermax 500w Power Supply
Seagate 250GB Hard Drive

I'm looking for a mid-range priced motherboard. Nothing fancy and expensive but alos nothing thats a P.O.S. Thanks

I always recommend to buy the best mobo cause you'll never upgrade and it'll serve you for at least 3 years

For that $200+ price tag, you can get a high end x38/48 motherboard instead of mainstream p45 chipset. :p

I say this msi board. it's got a great set of features for a mid range build like yours. I wouldn't invest in a 200+ board at the moment unless you we're sure you we're going to go cross fire real soon. Intels new nehalem will require all new boards inorder to run.

I would also consider getting a ati 4850 instead of the nvidia card you chose.

I vote for any of the P5Q's and the e7200 CPU overclocks better then th eCPU you picked out, and its cheaper.
