Speakers Broken?

Uhh. So yeah. The left speaker on my old Logitech Z-560 4.1 system doesn't work anymore. No sound comes through it. I changed the wire (by putting one of the other speakers in its place) and they don't get sound either.

So I guess this means that the little plastic red/black wire thingy at the back of the subwoofer is broken.

..What can I do?

maybe it is the port where you plug-in audio cable
do this move the cord in the back of the subwoofer, if you hear sound from the left speaker then maybe it's a bad cord or the audio port for sound is going bad.
can you post pictures or a video on youtube so i can see your problem.

I already have, it's the port thing on the back of the subwoofer.

I'll try to get pictures.

maybe the wire are like this:
+--+ +- -+
maybe you have hooked up like this:
no wires +- -++-
do the wire have a line or dashes telling you that what wire is + and which is the - wire
post back if they do or don't
OK

Don't worry about right rear, I unplugged it. (t it works fine)

I meant this

the red thing is broken. Any wire that I put into it will not work.

it does not look broken.

1)i think have to open the subwoofer and by that i mean take it a apart
OR
2)the wire inside the speaker for the red side broke off, take it apart to see
that's two choices to choose from

Believe me when I say it's broken. It comes off really easily. It is not the wire for the speaker since I tried connecting another speaker with another wire into the same slot in the subwoofer.

Dunno about taking it apart o.o

trust me, when my power cord for my subwoofer broke and i to fix it, so taking it apart and fixing it, that's better than buying a new one.
