Hey, I have been having problems with while watching a video file red and green lines showing on the screen. The mouse pointer then has it appears random lines 1-2cm that 'Follow' it round. Followed by this my monitor usually goes into standby mode or my computer shuts down after freezing. File types I've been playing have been AVI and have been using ffd decoder.

My computer specs
XFX 780i - ish9
G.Skill DDR2 4GB PC2-8000 Dual Channel - Running 5:5:5:15

Intel E8200 @ 3.7GHz (using stock cooler)
XFX 9800GTX - YDF9
Silverstone ST50E-Plus 500W PSU
