Dual monitors - need info pls

Hello,

I have two monitors - VGA cables, plugged into a splitter which is plugged into an HDMI adaptor which is then plugged into the desktop PC. Both monitors display the same image and I am unable to configure it to extend the workspace.... I have read that a splitter will only let you display the same workspace on both monitors.... Can anyone help me set this up? Thanks in advance....

Get a graphics board with two video interfaces.

Sounds like exactly what you'd expect from a splitter. It splits one signal into two. If your computer has an HDMI port, there is a chance it has a second video output, connect the second monitor to that, or get an add-on video card for the computer.
