ok..so i building a new gaming pc.... but im kind of a beginner in this...

hmm... what does it mean power index = 17 ?

and i was considering on going with the asus rampage formula with intel x48 chipset.... but its to old and costs like the 790i ultra... right ?

X48 isn't old, it just came out this year. Nvidia chipsets have trouble overclocking not as well compared to Intel chipsets. If you have the cash, I would go for the Q9450 instead of the Q9300 as the Q9300 is handicap with 6 mb of L2 cache instead of 12 in the Q9450. I have the rampage with the Q9450 and it can be overclocked with ease to 3.6ghz.

well... i think i will wait another week to see the new graphic cards
...but if i get the rampage formula i will have to use the crossfireX....
can u suggest for me a good gaming motherboard with intel chipset x48 that supports SLI and not crossfireX
