hi everyone

I just want to know that i want to disable some USb ports in my PC ( and not all). is there any way to do it.
i want the USB ports of mouse and keyboard to work
but want to disable other open usb ports for security reasons

i have found several articles on net which disable all usb ports but i want to disable some specific ports.

please help

Hey 3ds... for many motherboards it's impossible to disable specific USB ports, for understandable reasons. So long as one USB port remains active, it's still possible to connect whatever you want, just by plugging in a USB hub and connecting everything through that.

In any case, please check your motherboard's manual. It most likely has information on disabling USB ports, and if it's possible to disable specific ports.

Unplug the USB headers from the case, if you can.

also is there any way to password protect usb drives?
