I use VirtualDub to record in-game video and I currently have it set up to write to a different hard drive than it is reading from. Unfortunately the drive it is writing to is failing and is going to have to be removed soon. It's an IDE drive and the drive VD is reading from is SATA. I'm thinking about buying another SATA and setting them up in raid 0. So my question is would I see better recording performance having it read/write to the combined drives, or keeping them individual?
