Hey guys, My friend's PC seems to have a little problem.I've searched with Google about this C:/autorun.inf virus and I found some things and they say I have to run XP in Safe Mode but I can't.I press the F8 key select Safe Mode with CMD then it starts loading some files but when done the PC restarts. I have reinstalled OS twice but still can't go in Safe Mode. My computer is running on Windows 7 so I don't have any problems.
All help would be appreciated

Tell him to press Function 8 and select "Disable automatic restart on system failure" and that will make a blue screen with Stop Error message details stand still long enough to be read. Post back the numeric details - 0x0000?? along with ANY_WORDS_IN_CAPITALS joined up by underscores and someone will be able to help.

This autorun.inf is a type of virus. you can remove that only through any of the anti-virus software because it affects registry also. F-Secure anti-virus software is solving that issue. for me it worked.

You can delete autorun.inf using Unlocker. Download it here www.filehippo.com/download_unlocker and install.
