I am trying to learn how to partition using xp's disk management
software. I read the KB and follow the instructions but when I right
click on the highlighted part of the disk New partition is not listed
when I right click . . . I am logged in as the administer . . . what am
I doing wrong.

Hi,

Are you right clicking on unpartitioned (unallocated) space? The disk
management tool can only create a new partition from available space on the
drive, it cannot resize an existing one to make room for another.
