Computer displays black screen after update.

After a Vista monitor & video driver update, I get a black screen. It sounds like it boots up with all the right sounds, I get the Vista logo then nothing. F8 to safe mode does not work. Vista boot up disc with or without F11 or F12 does not work too. What has the update done to my computer and how can I fix it. Please Help

If you have USB boot capability, use another computer to copy your Vista disk to flash drive, and try booting from the uSB.

I removed the video/graphics card and this worked the computer is working on the basic video card. The microsoft "update" to the video/graphics drive must have done something to it.


What do I do now ?

To fix the problem should I go to the restore point or reload the Motherboard or Video Card Software before I put the card back in?

To fix the problem should I go to the restore point or reload the Motherboard or Video Card Software before I put the card back in?

Try showing updates on add/remove programs, and uninstall the update in question.
