My System Config:
I have assembled my PC with Q6600 (at stock speed) and GA-EP35C-DS3R board.
Artic Freezer Pro 7 HSU and Arctic Silver 5 compound.
Antec Sonata III 500 Case.

Issue:
Recently I have noticed (via speedfan) that my CPU is running very hot. The CPU core is running between 55C-59C idle while the system temperature is around 44C. I had setup bios to shut down CPU if it goes above 60C. Ambient temperature is around 22-25C.

Is this normal for CPU cores to run at 59C?
How can I cool the system in order to Overclock in future?

Your advice is very appreciated.

First of all, did you calibrate SpeedFan? If you didn't then you can't necessarily trust that reading. Download RealTemp, or CoreTemp (or both to be sure) and compare the readings.

You can't always trust these thermal monitoring apps right out of the box.

I think you havr high temps
With ambient 25 and OC to 3-3.2 GHZ you should idle at 45 and under Prime95 willbe 55-60
USE RealTemp2.5 to check your temps and forget everything else
Do not use CoreTemp
1-Run first your system with case open and see if temps are better maybe you need to improve airflow
2-Get TRUE heat sink and the Sythe fan mentioned in my sig
3- Get OCZ Freeze Extreme Thermal paste
