Hi all,

I have a motherboard of
[CrossFire] MSI K9A2 CF-F AMD 790X CrossFire Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Dual Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, Dual PCI-E MB
with [== Quad Core ==] AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology

i just wonder that should i put 2gb ram or 4gb ram
in case i want to work on both game and work (not regarding of graphic card just the processor)

the first choice:
2 GB [1 GB X2] DDR2-800 PC6400 Memory Module Corsair-Value
or second choice:
4 GB [2 GB X2] DDR2-800 PC6400 Memory Module Corsair-Value

for the 4GB i have to add 150$ would it worth????

and would the 4gb actually fit in this motherboard?
please help me out,

thank you so much

danggg why would you need such expensive ram, especially since you prolly wont overclock with that cpu that much. my 4gb of OCZ GOLD ram cost only $90 USD. its probably cheaper now that 5 months have passed.

go for mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (84$)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820146726
and better mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (105$)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820146785
And if it was me I'll get 8G
Use 4G now with 32 bit OS
And when upgrade to 64bit OS I'll install the other 4G

By the way your mobo accepts upto 8G of DDR2 800/1066 memry sticks

And NO
2GB is not better

For Vista you better use 4gig is right. I started with 2. Vista used about 800 worth. After installing another 2gig, Vista used over 1 full gig. You're going to need more memory for the rest of what you are doing. I wouldn't build a machine for myself without 4gig and am considering getting 6 or 8 for my next build.
