basically my question is it possible to upgrade the processor on this computer. Is it possible to upgrade the processor with the one off of newegg?

You probably can, but without knowing what mobo you have, it's impossible to tell. It would probably also require that you update the bios.
That gfx card should be nice as well. The only worry would be if you are going from an Ati card to an Nvidia card. Doing that usually is best done with a clean OS install.
