New build. Everything recognized and XP Home installed. Unable to create a network connection. Motherboard has onboard ethernet connection which is powered. When I go to device manager I have no Network adapters listed. Can anyone tell me if this is because it's built in? or is it not being recognized? I understand it may be a windows problem. My goal here is simply to eliminate it being the MB.

Thanks Greg

Hi,

Have you checked the BIOS to see whether the On Board LAN is enabled?

If disabled this would explain why it isn't appearing in your Hardware list...

Just a thought, not sure what else it could be.

Cheers,

Dean
