More about : ati smbus controller

uuh...
I forget to give more information about the components...
this is from CPU-Z:
-VGA: ATI Radeon X1250
-Chipset: RS690/RS690M
-SB: SB600

and, whether this driver is compatible with the hardware that I mentioned?
thanks about your info...

This is the right driver for SB600.

If you were able to DL the chipset drivers...

ATI does not automatically install the SMBus driver, although the others are automatic. Makes one wonder. If you have the chipset driver, look in your system drive (C?) for the ATI folder it made in the root of the drive and expand it. The path to the SMBus driver is C׃\ATI\Support\7-9_XP32-64_SB_52443\SMBus\SMBusati.cat & SMBusati.inf. The "7-9_XP32-64_SB_52443" part may have different numbers in your driver package.
