Is it really as bad as people say it is? Im talking about music/movies/porn/etc., is the only downside that if one HDD fails you lose the entire RAID?

it is a bad idea if you never back anything up
though i doubt you need the speed of raid-0 for your pron collection, having them on separate HDD's should be fine, also then if you lose a drive you only lose what was on the drive

best way i think to do this is to get 4 drives and use raid- should still make backups of anything important

remember even with redundancy y
