Hard drive for windows

Hello,
How much memory does windows xp take out of your hard drive for just the absolute skeletonal remains, and still having 100% serviceability with no lost of capabilities???

If you are talking about the pagefile.sys, it depends on the amount of RAM. Usually the system-managed pagefile is equal to the usable RAM you have installed. You can change it by right-clicking on My Computer, selecting Properties, selecting the Advanced tab, clicking on Performance Settings, selecting the Advanced tab there, and pushing the Change button under virtual memory.

Any changes will require a system restart.
