Yeah, they're old processors but I have an old AMD Athlon 1400MHz Thunderbird that I'd like to reuse and the only mobos I can find are for Athlon XPs.

specifically I'm looking at this one. I cant seem to find information at the foxconn website

I have a 266MHz FSB so that fits.

Socket 462 should support the 1400. Send Foxconn support an emal and ask if the board 'offically' supports it.

Hey, I just woke up, cut me some slack...

You shouldn't even need a bios update, the thunderbird was before the Thourghbred, which was before the Barton. (athlon XP)

1400 =133 MHZ FSB
Foxconn MB supports 266/333Mhz.

Open the MB manual. Supports Duron, Athlon and Athlon XP. But doesn't list 133 FSB as supported? Only 266/333.

um thats Bus, which is 2x FSB.... thus 133x2 = 266, so ya it should be fine.
