Timings

Could an expert please take a look at these two chips:

To me these chips look identicle except for the timings and of course the price tag!

Surely if i buy the €45 chips i could change the timings to that of the €61 chips? (from: CL4-3-3-15 to CL3-4-4-15) or am i completely wrong!

any thoughts?

You could certainly change the timings, but the DIMM might not work. Faster DIMMs normally cost more. However, I wouldn't buy Reapers with those silly heat pipes, and given OCZ's compatibility issues. The Corsair Twinx DIMMs there are more likely to work trouble-free.

I'm no expert...

You could change the timings to match but they're not promised to run at that speed.

I think if the RAM could do CL3 when they test it then they'd sell it as CL3, otherwise it's sold as the CL4 or it's defective or whatnot.
