How to remove acer user profile box vista

Hello,
I am trying to remove the Acer User Profile box which appears on the middle of the desktop after strart up (Acer 5735Z laptop - windows Vista home ed).
I am the only user and do not need it.
The forums etc I have searched and tried do no appear to help.

But I'm referring to a box that the acer system uses called "Acer User Profile" which appears after the desktop loads. It is time consuming (and annoying) because it takes a while to appear; if I click on eg Google, or any desktop icon the box will still appear and I have to then click the X at the top of the Acer box to close it. As I said I don't need it; I run my laptop as leanly as possible; no wallpaper or any extras that I don't use.
Web browsing for research, emails and word/office etc are about all I need.
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
